I got a garage certificate here. There are various reasons for this, but in order to get a garage certificate, the parking lot must be within 2km of the user's address. The land of SKYSQUARE is still being developed, so there is no address. Therefore, it is difficult to get a garage certificate if you just park your car there.

However, since I will be living in three locations this time, I am renting an apartment with a parking space.

The parking lot is right in front of my house, so it met the requirement of being 2km away.

These documents are required, so first gather them.

The tricky thing here is the proof of address.

Since it will be a base only, my license has a different address written on it, and I have just set up my base, so I don't have any mail.

I brought along the apartment contract and other documents.

3. Report to the police and discover

What becomes clear here is that the apartment contract will not suffice.

Seriously?

I also brought along Yamato Transport's delivery slip, gas opening documents, and other items.

None of them work!!!

It turned out that as long as it was a postcard sent by the post office, it would be fine.

4. The certificate is in an empty envelope

However, we have just set up a base.

Nothing was sent by the post office.

That would be a problem for someone who just moved.

I just thought... it's pretty nonsense.

I was told to send an empty envelope from Tokyo.

I explained to the staff that I didn't understand and they sent it to me.

There is nothing inside.

I wonder if this is okay.

5. Garage certificate obtained successfully

After about three days, the application was successful.

From there, the garage certificate was issued within three days.

Now you can finally change the name!

6. Documents required for name change

Now that we have obtained the garage certificate, let's check the documents here.

7. Head to the Land Transport Bureau with your documents!

You need to come here to get a Yamanashi license plate.

The logic is that since the garage certificate is for a Yamanashi address, the license plate number will be a Yamanashi number.

The address on the garage certificate is important.

8. Tell the person in charge that this is your first time changing the name.

I came here with the documents to change the name, but...

When I told the staff, they asked me to show them the documents.

I just did as I was told and completed the tasks one by one like a robot.

9. Removing the license plate for the first time

After making the payment, the attendant said, "Now, please remove the license plate and bring it over to me," and there was a screwdriver there!! I understood, so I went to my car with the screwdriver and instructions.

Regular cars are sealed like this, and you need to pry it open with a flathead screwdriver.

This was the first time I tried to pry open this seal, and it was easier than I thought it would be.

Then just use a screwdriver to remove it and you can take out the license plate.

Remove this from both the front and back and hand it over to the staff member.

10. First license plate installation

After returning the old license plate, I received a new one.

"Please attach this. A staff member will be there to seal it."

We also follow our instructions and attach the numbers with a screwdriver.

11. Name change completed!!!

Once they've finished numbering the tickets, a staff member will come up to you and say, "We're going to seal them now!"

After about 30 seconds of saying that, I got the "Yes! It's done!"

That was quick! I was told that this was the end of it and was able to successfully transfer the name.

It was easier than I thought and I realized that changing the name was a no-brainer.

If you have a car that you want to transfer the title to, I recommend doing it yourself.

12. Digression

In the end, the total cost of the name change was 2,500 yen for the garage certificate and 1,500 yen for the license plate.

It was completed for less than 5,000 yen.

Way to Cheap! ! !

If I wanted to have someone do this for me, it would cost tens of thousands of yen.

When I think about it, I think labor costs are the highest.

If the garage certificate is in Tokyo and you buy a car at a dealership in Kyushu, the dealership will have to transport the car to the Tokyo Land Transport Bureau to obtain a license plate.

Out-of-state fees can be quite high.

Therefore, you should think carefully about where you will get a garage certificate before purchasing a car.

Like me, if you buy a car with a remaining inspection certificate,

It is possible to drive the car to the location yourself and change the title there.

Thanks to this, I think the total cost, including the vehicle cost, is about 1.5 million yen cheaper.

I think the price will vary that much.

Now we have finally obtained the dump truck necessary for developing SKYSQUARE.

After this, I quickly took out voluntary insurance and was able to drive without any worries.
