[Road of SKYSQUARE-025-] Let's make this our base!!!

Hello

This is Nakajima from AZSTOKE Co., Ltd.

This is the purpose of this project.

First, we will clear the land to create a base.

This is the land we want to clear this time.

I want to establish a base here.
Cutting out the depths from the lines

Considering that we would be running electricity to the base, we decided it would be best to cut a hole near the utility poles, with the condition that it would not overlap with the entrance passage.

There are about 10 trees that are in the way of clearing this area, and it looks like we'll need to take into consideration cutting down their roots. It's a tough road, but we have no choice but to do it, so we're going to go ahead with it.

I would like to tell you about this struggle.

1. First, put crushed stone on the muddy ground!!

Go buy crushed stone
Buy RC40

We will use the truck we introduced last time to go purchase crushed stone.

Since it is a 3-ton dump truck, I go and buy another 3-ton truck and repeat the process. The product name is RC40.

This can be purchased even cheaper as recycled crushed stone.

I need a few and this is enough so I buy this every time.

It takes two hours round trip from the nearest quarry, so this alone is quite a challenge, but I'll just keep doing it mindlessly for now.

2. Clear away anything that was used on the previous site

Compost is...
Remove for now

We gradually spread the crushed stones and cleared them away. Just at the part of the land that had been reclaimed, there was compost that had probably been used on the land before. It was unusable and had garbage mixed in with it.

I took this out to tidy it up for now.

3. Cut down the troublesome broad-leaved trees first

Logging
Defeat them one after another

We continue to cut down hardwood trees that are at a steep angle and those that are about to fall.

This is where the chainsaw training comes in handy.

We will continue to cut down trees while ensuring safety.

It seems that there are many people dying from tree cutting in the news, so I will carefully put what I have learned into practice.

4. Continue cutting and then cut into balls.

Cutting into balls
They cut down even small trees.
Defeat more

For now, I'll just cut out anything that overlaps with the base.

When felling trees, the direction in which they are cut is quite important. If you get it wrong, it could fall on other trees or onto the road, which can be dangerous. You need to be aware of the direction and how to cut, and consider the order in which to cut the trees.

Once the tree has been felled, it is cut into logs to make it easier to transport.

I plan to use these as fuel for my wood stove in the future.

5. Clear away the cut trees

A shovel is used for transportation.
Transporting with a sling

This is also when my excavator comes in handy. I would like to use a scissor bucket, but replacing it is a lot of work, so I'll clear it up by carrying the load with a sling.

There are limits to what can be done by hand, so I realized the importance of heavy machinery.

This is a lot of work as it has to be done multiple times.

6. It's starting to open up a little

It is starting to become clear
It has opened up quite a bit

What was previously quite cluttered with trees has now opened up.

There are still many things that need to be cut, but I feel like I'm starting to get the idea.

That's all for this blog for now.

I plan to continue working on it further, develop it further, and create a recording booth.

We will continue to work hard to expand SKYSQUARE.
