Hello

This is Nakajima from AZSTOKE Co., Ltd.

This is the purpose of this project.

It's a pain to rent a car every time, so I want to get my own dump truck.

There has been a lot of transportation so far.

I rented a car to transport it each time.

If you rent a dump truck from Taiyo Construction Equipment Rental, it will cost about 20,000 yen per day.

If you think about it costing 20,000 yen each time, it's quite a cost. If you borrow it 10 times, it will cost 200,000 yen...

This was a cost that required renting only when it was really necessary and when we could open the entire day and respond fully. However, as we developed the area, we could imagine that there would be many occasions when we absolutely needed a truck, and considering the frequency, we should consider purchasing rather than renting, and we thought it would be better to deal with this early on.

Since we are not in the transportation business, we do not need the latest trucks. We want to get them as cheaply as possible!!! We searched various things on the Internet. Even used trucks are quite expensive... 3 to 4 million yen...

What to do...But I want it!!!

1. The size of dump

In terms of size, based on my experience with rental cars, I thought a 3-ton dump truck was the size I wanted. A 2-ton dump truck would be too small, and even transporting crushed stone would require a lot of back and forth travel. A 4-ton dump truck would be a bit larger, which would require more care when driving, so after much deliberation, I decided a 3-ton dump truck would be the right choice.

2. Desired mileage

The lifespan of a normal car is said to be about 100,000 to 200,000 km. However, trucks are built to be sturdy, so their lifespan is quite long.

The standard is 400,000 to 500,000 km , which is considerably longer than a regular regular car. Therefore, I decided that it would be okay if it was over 100,000 km, as long as it was cheap.

3. The manufacturer you want

There are several truck manufacturers, and I have driven a variety of models with Taiyo Construction Equipment Rental, but to be honest there was nothing about this manufacturer that was particularly good, so I was fine with this as long as it was cheap.

4. Search the internet for used truck sales

Once I have a general idea of what I want, I start researching online.

I checked out some famous sites for used trucks, and the cheapest ones were around 2.8 million yen.

The average price was about 3 to 5 million yen. I thought this amount was not reasonable because I wanted to keep it as cheap as possible.

I decided to check out Yahoo! Auctions. The mileage is longer on Yahoo! Auctions, but they are sold for much cheaper than used car specialty stores, so although I have never bought a car on Yahoo! Auctions, if you are looking for a truck that you don't drive every day and want a low price, Yahoo! Auctions is the only choice!!!

I was looking for a cheap truck.

5. The Yahoo! Auction price is about 2 million yen

I found some, gave up, and then kept trying to gauge the market price on Yahoo! Auctions. The market price for a 3-ton dump truck was about 200, and I realized that I could probably buy a truck for that amount on Yahoo! Auctions. I was surprised to see that there were more trucks for sale than I thought!!!

6. Change the name yourself!!!

The main difference between Yahoo! Auctions and used car sales is the title change. Normally, when you purchase a used car, the dealer will handle the title change for you.

However, since this is a private transaction, you will have to change the name yourself.

If you look into it, you'll find a lot of information, so I'll go ahead and think to myself, "I can do it if I try hard."

7. I found a super cheap one🚚!!

After spending a few weeks searching for the prices of trucks being listed on Yahoo! Auctions, I found a dump truck priced even lower than the market rate.

However, it is so much cheaper than the market price that it is actually a bit scary.

Apparently it's possible to see it, so we headed to the site by car.

8. Go to Aichi Prefecture to see trucks

Apparently that truck is in Aichi Prefecture.

It takes 4 hours by car to get there. When we arrive at the site, we find a 3-ton dump truck there, and we are told that we can take a test drive, so we decided to take a tour around the area.

It runs smoother than I expected, there are no problems with dumping, and the ride is perfect.

It's decided!!!

Finally, I won the bid for this dump truck!!

Go through the purchase process.

I decided to pick it up at a later date.

Now I have purchased a dump truck. I no longer need to rent a car!!!

9. Travel by Shinkansen and go home!!

I will travel to Aichi Prefecture by Shinkansen and arrive the day before. I will stay at a business hotel and pick it up tomorrow morning.

10. Purchase complete!!! From Aichi to Yamanashi

When I went there first thing in the morning, the truck was already prepared and ready to go. I checked the explanation and contents of the documents here and completed the purchase procedure. This is now a company truck. *The name change has not been completed yet, so I will deal with that at a later date.

11. Arrive safely at SKYSQUARE

The big move from Aichi Prefecture to Yamanashi Prefecture has been completed without a hitch. That's it for today. A staff member came to pick me up at SKYSQUARE and I left the truck there for the time being, and that was the end of the day. Now that I've finally switched from a rental truck to my own, I can work on the truck whenever I want!!! I'll take good care of it!!!

However, the name change still needs to be made, so I hope to be able to introduce that in another blog post.
