SQ.45：Onward to my 15th qualification: I took the exam for an industrial waste transportation business license.

At AZSTOKE, we've been steadily accumulating the necessary qualifications and licenses to expand the scope of our business. This is a record of our efforts to obtain our 15th qualification .

The target is a " permit for transporting industrial waste ."

The purpose is simple: to be able to process the industrial waste generated at SKYSQUARE ourselves .

Here is a list of the qualifications and licenses that were presented at CEDEC2026. (You can also view this on CEDiL.)

The item I'm currently tackling is the **15th item on this list, "Industrial Waste Transportation Permit."** This is an item I mentioned at CEDEC2026 as something I was "going to get," and now I've finally started working on it.

The goal is to create a system that allows us to process the industrial waste generated at SKYSQUARE in-house .

By bringing processes that are currently outsourced into our own hands, we can increase the speed and flexibility of decision-making on-site.

The process to obtain the license involves first attending a training course and passing an exam, and then submitting a permit application to the relevant prefectural government.

▽The test venue is Apio Kofu in Yamanashi.

After a period of prior study, the exam venue for this time was Apio Kofu .

Following the signs, we arrived at the venue. It began solemnly in a calm atmosphere.

The number of applicants was higher than expected.

To be honest, I had imagined a much smaller gathering. However, when I entered the venue, there were nearly 100 test-takers .

I was genuinely surprised to see so many other businesses needing the same permit, and it made me realize the breadth of the industry. At the same time, it made me feel a little more determined, realizing that I was now on the same playing field.

▽Results will be announced on the 19th, and certificates will be issued on the 21st.

The exam procedure is as follows:

• 19th - Results of acceptance/rejection announced

• 21st — Successful candidates can receive their certificates of completion.

• If you fail, you will receive notification about a retake.

Since you cannot take the exam paper home, you cannot self-grade it.

In other words, at this point, it's completely impossible to know whether you've passed or failed .

It's quite unsettling when you have no way of knowing how well you're doing.

▽Just one step away from submitting the permit application.

Even if you pass the exam, that's not the end goal. After receiving your certificate, you have to apply for permission from each prefecture , and only after that permission is granted can you actually start transporting goods.

In other words, it will still take a little more time before we are able to process SKYSQUARE's industrial waste ourselves.

Nevertheless, I feel that reaching this point, where we have overcome a long and arduous first hurdle, is a definite step forward .

Now that the exams are over, I'll be starting to focus on preparing for the Tokyo Game Show .

And this time, we plan to handle everything from booth design to construction ourselves .

While this is an area that could be outsourced, I wanted to bring back some learnings if I was going to do it myself.

• Practical aspects of construction planning and on-site response.

• A perspective that allows for a comprehensive overview and management of the entire exhibition.

All of this knowledge and experience comes into your hands.

This is a technique that can be directly applied to future exhibitions and client work.
