Hello
This is Nakajima from AZSTOKE Co., Ltd.
This is the purpose of this project.
The first step towards establishing infrastructure! We are moving forward with getting electricity connected.
In the previous blog, " [Road of SKYSQUARE-031-] Studio Setup!! ~The Room~ ", we finally finished setting up the building. Once the building is set up, the next step is to prepare the infrastructure.
The first thing that moves easily is electricity, so once you have access to electricity, you can operate the equipment needed for the recording booth.
First, we will go through the installation process to get there.

1. You need to hire a contractor to get your electricity turned on! Will it take 3 months?
I am a qualified electrician, but since the activation procedures after obtaining the qualification would take a considerable amount of time, I would like to ask a professional to do the work and make full use of my qualification for the work after activation.
Therefore, we decided to hire a contractor to carry out the work to open the line, and after installing the prefabricated building, we asked an electrical contractor to do it. However, after submitting a request to TEPCO, we found out that the voltage was insufficient...
Construction work is required to increase the voltage, which will be handled by TEPCO.
The work is expected to take about three months...
Three months?!?!?!
I wish I had started the conversation sooner.
Since we didn't know the outcome, there was nothing we could do but wait.
2. You receive a call about transformer installation work.
About a month after the three-month notice, I received a call asking if it was okay to install a transformer underground under a nearby telephone pole.
Tell me there's no problem
When I asked when the construction would be completed, I was told, "We don't know when it will be completed."
Don't you understand...?
When will I be able to use electricity?
3. Construction is finally possible!!
Just three months later, we received word that it was possible! The construction schedule was adjusted and the work began.
On the day of construction, the utility poles will be installed and the wiring connected in the morning, and TEPCO staff will open the line in the afternoon, so it looks like the line will be open in one day.
I wanted to see the installation status, but I had some personal matters to attend to, so I left the construction to the contractor and headed down the mountain.

4. Electricity comes from the utility poles!!
I came to check it out the day after the construction was finished. There was a dedicated electric pole behind the prefab, and electricity was connected to it.
A typical meter is installed on the utility pole.
Wires extend from here to the front of the prefab and inside the prefab.

5. Outdoor electricity use and expansion elements
I had the rainproof case grounded outside so that I could use 100V and 200V there.
We were also able to install additional switches, so we can expand further from here.
Now that I have obtained my electrician's license, I would like to carry out this expansion work myself.
The electricity, outlets and air conditioning in the prefab are now available.
For the time being, the booth looks like it could be used as a rest area.

I'm happy that I can understand the things I learned while obtaining my electrical qualifications (such as circuit breakers) and that they are being used as they are.
My imagination expands as I think about how to do this here and that here.

6. Summary
Finally, electricity was successfully restored.
With electricity, you can do a lot of different things.
It's a very important part of the infrastructure.
It's something that's absolutely essential for recording, so I feel like I've managed to get this far.
From now on, I would like to do as much electrical work as possible myself, as I have now obtained my electrician's qualifications.
My immediate goal is to be able to record at night.
This requires the installation of streetlights.
To achieve this, we still have a long way to go, as we will need to lay underground pipes, and there are many things we will be doing for the first time, so we will have to continue taking on new challenges, but we will continue to work hard.
We will continue to forge ahead on the road of SKYSQUARE.
