[Road of SKYSQUARE-028-] How to Build a Base ~Root Cutting~🌳

Hello

This is Nakajima from AZSTOKE Co., Ltd.

This is the purpose of this project.

Clear the land to build a base.

For this purpose, the trees were cut down and the roots will be removed.

This is Part 3 of the base building that I introduced in this blog.

This time we will be working to remove the roots of the trees that have been cut down.

The area where the trees were located needs to be leveled, so the roots need to be cut down.

This time I blogged about it.

1. Cleaning up: Clearing away fallen trees

We are clearing away the trees that were felled in the last blog. They are too heavy for a person to carry, so we will need to bring in the excavator.

The excavator has been extremely useful in developing the land. I'm glad I have one, as it's the most widely used piece of heavy machinery.

It is versatile and can be used in a variety of places.

2. Root removal ā‘ : Digging up the soil

This was my first time cutting down roots, but the capacity is the same as that of grass, so first you use the power of a bulldozer to pull it up, and if it doesn't move, you reduce the soil around it and repeat the process of lifting it up.

That's how I managed to pull it out!!! I realized just how powerful an 8-ton excavator is.

3. Root cutting ā‘”: Patiently clearing away the roots

The tricky thing about this root removal was that there were two trees next to each other. In this case, there was a high possibility that the roots were intertwined with each other, and the roots were firmly planted, so they wouldn't budge...

However, there is no other way, so we just keep digging, eliminating the strength of the roots on one side, and repeating the process.

As I continued doing this, it finally came out.

If you look at the roots, you can see that they are quite large, which explains why we had such a hard time.

However, I was able to pull it out properly even with this size.

It is beginning to look like these felled trees are about to fall out.

4. Felling ā‘¢: Once you have three trees, you'll get used to it.

Up until the second one, I was working at a level where I wondered if this was okay and somehow managed to get it out.

By the third one, you'll get used to it.

What I learned here is that when you release it, it feels so good, like all the tension has suddenly released.

It feels like the excavator suddenly becomes lighter.

By doing these steps, you can ensure that the surrounding trees are properly rooted.

5. Before/After

After cutting down the trees, we used a shovel to level the ground. The result was amazing!!! This is what it looked likešŸ‘‡

I was very happy to see the land look completely different.

6. Summary

I was finally able to experience cutting down the roots, and now I can cut down trees and remove roots myself.

With the ground leveled, the open land finally came into view.

It was quite a long journey, but through this experience I have improved my skills in using the excavator and have also acquired new techniques.

I intend to face the obstacles that stand in my way head on and overcome them one by one.

We appreciate your continued support of SKYSQUARE.
