Hello
This is Nakajima from AZSTOKE Co., Ltd.
It is the purpose of this project.
After all, it's best to make it yourself
Once you have obtained the qualifications, you will want equipment that you can operate with your own hands at any time.
The recent Starlink installation reaffirmed the importance of "height" on mountain work sites, and before I knew it, I was searching for a used aerial work platform on Yahoo! Auctions.
I have to correct the 16° misalignment...
There, by fate, I came across an inexpensive model that fit my budget perfectly.
The moment I had the intuition that this was it, I made an instant decision and quickly pressed the purchase button.
In this article, we will report on the hectic journey from the successful bid to picking it up at the site and transporting it to SKYSQUARE.
The hurdle of buying a high-altitude work platform, and the excitement when it actually arrives.
We'll give you a detailed report on what happened on the day our new partner arrived!

1. My fateful encounter was on Yahoo! Auctions. The shocking 215,000 yen buyout price.
Now that I have obtained the qualification, I want my own personal equipment that I can use whenever I want.
With that in mind, I searched the internet and came across the one and only on Yahoo! Auctions.

What we found was a very cheap aerial work platform with a buy-it-now price of 155,000 yen !
Furthermore, even if you request a new battery replacement (plus 60,000 yen) to ensure long-term, safe use, the total cost will be 215,000 yen .
"For this price, I can get my own personal scaffolding..."
The moment I thought that, I pressed the purchase button without any hesitation.
Of course, there was also the option of renting it only when needed.
However, renting requires the hassle of arranging for a truck, renting it, and then returning it once the work is done.
Working in the mountains often doesn't go as planned, and considering the time and effort it takes to travel there and back, the benefits of having it on hand and ready to go are immeasurable.
"Homemade is best." With this conviction in mind, I decided to welcome a new partner into my life.
2. Cost reduction! I gave up my day off to make the three-hour trip to Gifu to pick it up.
I got a cheap aerial work platform.
If you request delivery, the costs you have worked so hard to reduce will skyrocket due to shipping fees.
So I decided, "If it's within my reach, I'll go myself!"
The location of the exhibit is Gifu Prefecture, which is about a three-hour drive from Yamanashi.
I decided to make full use of my holiday time and go to pick it up in person.

As usual, a three-hour drive in my own canter truck is quite a long distance, but thinking about the new equipment I'll be getting soon makes me feel lighter on my feet.
We drove along the Chuo Expressway, crossed the mountains, and headed to our destination, Gifu.
Along the way, we stopped at a service area for a break, and drove off with a little anxiety, wondering if we could really get a working machine for that price, but also with great expectations.
Self-propelled to keep costs down. SKYSQUARE-style equipment procurement!
3. I got lost a little before arriving. The "harvest" that comes from face-to-face pickup
Although I relied on the navigation system, I got a little lost as it was my first time in the area, but I managed to arrive at my destination. There, waiting for me was the aerial work platform that I had seen on the Yahoo! Auctions screen.

The seller was very friendly and we had a lengthy discussion before handing over the item.
"There's a little trick to operating this lever." "If you pay attention to this maintenance, you can use it for a long time."
The biggest advantage of picking up the items yourself is that you can get this kind of "live information from the field" directly.
This is not possible just by having it delivered.
Hearing about the machine's quirks and how it has been used up until now made me feel like I had suddenly become closer to this equipment.
Although it was an online transaction, it was ultimately a matter of people. The peace of mind that came from knowing I was getting it from someone I could trust was a major benefit of doing it myself.
4. Carefully and surely, it's time to load the truck!
Once we have finished talking with the seller, it's time to load the aerial work platform onto the truck bed.
No matter how many times I experience this moment of loading heavy machinery, it's still nerve-wracking.
In particular, the way the seller expertly set up the ladder and carefully moved the aerial work platform to load the items onto the truck was truly professional work. It was an exciting experience to watch.

When I see it safely placed in the loading compartment, I once again feel a sense of reality that "this is now mine."
Finally, we used a gatcha (cargo tie) to securely fasten our luggage so that it wouldn't move during the journey. We didn't know what to expect on the long journey back from Gifu to Yamanashi.
I tightened it up as thoroughly as I could and got ready to leave.
Now all that's left is to drive safely back to Yamanashi. I head home, paying close attention to the behavior of the truck with the heavy load on its back.
5. A "huge rainbow" is a reward for your tired soul.
On the way back from Gifu, the driving was even more nerve-wracking than the trip there, as we were carrying a heavy aerial work vehicle. The round trip took about six hours. I was starting to feel fatigued...
When I stopped at a service area for a break, I looked up at the sky and couldn't help but hold my breath.

There was a huge, clear rainbow that stretched across the sky.
It's rare to come across such a magnificent rainbow.
I felt a mysterious power, as if they were congratulating me on welcoming my new partner, or cheering me on, saying, "Make sure you get back to Yamanashi safely."
The moment I saw this rainbow, I felt all the fatigue from the long drive disappear. "Okay, just a little bit more. I'll drive safely and make it to SKYSQUARE!" I thought to myself, once again steeling myself and setting off.
6. Finally arrived! SKYSQUARE's new force has arrived
After a long journey from Gifu, we have finally returned to SKYSQUARE in Yamanashi!
Driving on mountain roads with an unfamiliar heavy load was a constant source of tension until the very end, but I was truly relieved that we were able to deliver it to this location safely.

A truck and aerial work platform stand in SKYSQUARE at dusk.
The equipment that was only on a screen just a few hours ago is now standing right in front of me, on my own property.
This fact gives us a sense that it will greatly expand the possibilities for future work.
I wonder how much this little companion will help me with maintenance and setup in the future. Once I unload it from the truck that it has been traveling with me on, my first job here (solving the Starlink 16° problem) will finally begin.
7. Heavy machinery x heavy machinery collaboration. Carefully unloading with a shovel
Once we arrive at the destination, the last big task is unloading the cargo.
When lowering the aerial work platform from the truck, we did not use a ladder this time, but instead used our beloved excavator to lift it up.
This is where a belt sling comes in handy.
We carefully set up the aerial work platform to ensure that the center of gravity is properly grasped and that lifting can be carried out stably.

The belt sling is securely connected to the excavator's hook. To prevent any accidents, the connection is double and triple checked.

Once you're ready, slowly operate the excavator's arm. The moment the aerial work platform lifts into the air is an impressive sight no matter how many times you see it.

Our own heavy machinery welcomes new heavy machinery...
You can really feel that SKYSQUARE is being developed.
8. Finally on the ground! SKYSQUARE's new "sky" begins operation
It was lifted up by a bulldozer, slowly and surely.
The aerial work platform has finally descended to the ground at SKYSQUARE in Yamanashi.

After meeting in Gifu, we took a three-hour drive each way and were blessed with a rainbow.
After much effort, the place is finally ready to be set free.
The way it stands firmly on the ground makes it look very reliable despite its small size.
Now, tasks that previously required nervous effort on a ladder, as well as fine-tuning of Starlink, can be done safely and smoothly. This is the moment when we truly gain the freedom of "height."
Obtaining qualifications, purchasing your own equipment, and transporting it yourself can be difficult, but the greatest joy of pioneering is seeing your abilities increase one step at a time.
Now, I'd like to get on this "new partner" and try to adjust the Starlink, which is off by 16 degrees!
Please look forward to the future evolution of SKYSQUARE.
